Even Kurama can't try to hold his laughter alone. He quickly bit his thumb so he won't add to Kenshin's emmbarassment.
((ooc: I'm really lost...But what do you expect? Kurama is not a character from Ruroni Kenshin...))

Kenshin turned, miraculously calm again. He headed into the guest room. "Please, you two, make yourselves at home," he said with a smile. Kaoru rushed into the room with a tray carrying four tea cups full of green tea and a small dish with four sticks of mochi. She put it out on the table. "Dozo!"

"Arigato..."Kurama said, and he sat down.

Hiko sat down. "Do you have sake here?"

"Uh, yes, we do!" Kaoru said. She ran off to fetch some sake from Sanosuke's crate. She returned with two bottles of sake and a sake cup. "Here's you go!" she said, setting them down in front of Hiko.
Kenshin sat outside, his feet swinging over the edge of the walkway as he looked outside.

Hiko nodded his thanks and poured himself some of the Sake, drinking it down. "So you're skills must be growing quite dull here. There doesn't seem to be any capable swordsmen around."

Kenshin sweatdropped. "Well, with swords being banned, this one has been having a hard time being even able to go out. The laws have become quite strict in this Meiji Era," he said, then picked up his tea cup and took a sip.

Hiko continued drinking. "I thought you would have gained a 'pardon' by this point. Or carry a cane sword. They're quite easy to conceal."

Kenshin face-planted. "This one does not need such trivial things as a cane sword! Besides, this one doubts that they make reverse-blade cane swords, that he does," he said. About the comment about a pardon, Kenshin replied, "This one has been pardoned, but this one cannot continue accepting these pardons, that he cannot. Even though this one carries merely a sakabato, no one else would know that."

Hiko sighed in dissapointment. "How long are you going to uphold that naive dream? I thought I taught you that however you dress it up in righteousness, swordsmanship is the way to kill."

Kenshin stared into his tea cup. "This one understands that, but..." He didn't finish his sentence.

Hiko glared at Kenshin. "You really are a stupid pupil. You don't understand! By swearing an oath not to kill with a blade, you have denied the purpose a sword is used for!"

Kenshin pouted slightly. "This one would much appreciate it if you would stop calling him 'stupid pupil'," he said, trying to change the subject.

Kurama continued drinking his tea. "Knowing a friend of mine, A sword's purpose is not to kill, but something else..."
