Saito paused and then held his sword in a diagonal form. "Then... I will attack with the True Gatotsu! This is the end!" He charged Soujiro with the faster and stronger Gatotsu Nishiki.

Soujiro slipped his sword into its sheathe quickly and disappeared again. This time, he didn't stop. Dust flew up in certain areas where Soujiro had stepped, although he'd been long gone from there. Soujiro readied a Battoujutsu stance and charged at Saito as well, hand ready to draw at the moment of impact.

Saito jumped above the space where Battoujutsu would strike and descended with another Nishiki.

The dust left behind by Soujiro caught the hit. Another slash crossed Soujiro's cheek, but he didn't let it bother him as he drew his sword, sliding to a halt and taking Saito's back.

Saito was hit by the attack from behind, and he responded with a kick at Soujiro's hip, trying to knock the boy off balance.

Soujiro slid off to the side, jumping back up. The blood ran from his cheek, but he didn't mind for now. "As I was told...you are very good...I will have to make sure to reward my informants when I return..."

Saito assumed his stance again. "That's unlikely! The possibility of you returning!"

Soujiro's smile was replaced by a sinister smirk. "If you kill me here and now, you will never know where Lord Shishio's fortress is. Yet, if you do not kill me, I will escape. Well? What will you do?"

Saito assumed the Nishiki stance and just before charing he answered. "What I always do. Aku, Soku, Zan." He charged Soujiro.

Soujiro took off again. He jumped onto a roof of a nearby building, and yelled down, "I really must be leaving now! I'm to be expected!" Soujiro then jumped off from the other side of the roof.

Saito tried to pursue Soujiro along with the other police, but lost him in Kyoto's winding streets.

Soujiro slid to halt at the gates of Shishio's fortress. He walked into Shishio's room with his bloody cheek and said, "Sorry I'm late, Lord Shishio." He gave one of his smiles.

"A little run-in with some policemen. No big deal," Soujiro said with a smile, putting down his tattered straw hat, which he managed to snatch up, onto a nearby chair. Soujiro didn't pay any mind to his cheek wound.

Shishio noticed it however. I doubt it was just any policeman if he managed to injure you.
