Name: Roronoa Zoro
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Special Skills/Powers: Enormous strength, Incredible stamina, Santoryu, Nitou Ryu and Itto Ryu disciplines.
Personality: Laid back and lazy outside of battle, Zoro also has terrible navigational skills. However, he refuses to give up and trains vigorously (once he trained with weights that weighed more than 400 pounds for four hours!). In battle, regardless of his injuries, he forces himself to go on, and will never give up, no matter what the odds.
History: Roronoa Zoro began as a boy who challenged dojo's and claimed their signs. However when he went to one particular dojo, he was utterly defeated by its top student, a girl named Kuina. He became a member of the dojo, and used a Nitou Ryu style, that made him the second best student in the dojo, and he was able to defeat opponents much larger and stronger than he was. But the one person he never beat was Kuina, who beat him 2000 times. Finally, after Kuina had been told she could never be the best because of her gender, Zoro comforted her, and inspired her. They made a promise that one day, one of them would be the greatest swordsman (or swordswoman) in the world. Then they fought their 2001 duel, only this time, instead of shinai, they used real swords. In a long duel, Zoro was finally beaten yet again. It was their last duel ever. The next day, while Zoro was training again, Kuina went to get a sharpening stone for her sword which had been dulled in the battle with Zoro. She slipped on the stairs and broke her neck in the fall, killing her. Zoro was crushed by her death, and asked his sensei (Kuina's father) if he could have Kuina's sword, the Wadou Ichimounji. He gave his approval, and Zoro promised that he would achieve Kuina's dream of becoming the worlds strongest swordsman for her. He developed Santoryu, a three sword style where the third blade was wielded in his mouth. Eight years later he left the dojo and went sailing to seek out powerful swordsman. To make money, he became a pirate hunter and was known as the strongest swordsman in the East Blue. He was captured by Marines, and later freed by Monkey D. Luffie, and became Luffie's first mate and swordsman. On his journeys with Luffie, he fought talented swordsman and was even fortunate enough to come across the man he had searched the entire world for. Hawk Eye Mihawk, the greatest swordsman in the world. He fought a duel with Mihawk, but eventually, in a final clash of blades, two of Zoro's blades were broken, (although the Wadou Ichimounji was intact), and he allowed Mihawk to cut him down, so that he could say in hell he was beaten by the greatest swordsman. Mihawk spared his life, instead, giving Zoro a permanent scar across his entire torso. Zoro's abilities since then have improved immensly. An interesting fact is that Zoro often enters a battle with a handicap.
Special Attacks:
Ougi Sanzen Sekai (Ultimate three thousand realms): Zoro sets his blades in a bent L shape and then spins them once and slashes twisting the blades as he strikes. This gives them centifrugal force and also lets them strike a few inches off where they should.
Shishi Sonsen: Zoro sheaths his swords and sees the 'breath' of everything. He then uses a Battoujutsu with the Wadou Ichimounji and slashes through the target. There is almost nothing the move can't cut through.
Asura: When Zoro is angry or determined enough, he can move so quickly that he can literally attack with nine swords at once. He looks like the Asura deity when he uses this, as he seems to have six arms and three heads. He also has eyes not unlike those of Hawkeye Mihawk.
Anime: One Piece
Code Word: x2revolution
RP Sample: Zoro sat in his quarters lying back. He still remembered it like it was yesterday. The chill coursing though his veins, the fear he felt in his body. And most of all, the penetrating gaze of the mans eyes. Those eyes that seemed unnatural, like that of a hawk. But then, that was why the man was known as Hawk Eye... He gingerly felt the scar the man had wrought upon him, but he felt it not with hatred, but with acknoledgment. That man had shown him that he was only a small fish in a large sea. And he still needed to be stronger....
