Sweat beaded down Aki's body as she flung her body up and looked around her room frantic. Aki's heart raced as she looked around, but soon she sighed and took a deep breath in. " It was just a dream." she said to herself as she laid back and looked at her alarm clock. It was 11 pm she had been asleep for 3 hours. Aki closed her eyes and tried to go back to sleep, however all she did was lay there for an hour with her eyes closed unable to shut her body off and go back to sleep. Aki got up and grabbed one of her sweaters from her closet and slipped on a pair of her shoes.
Aki walked around until she came to a small tree that was just perfect ( or seemed that way to her) to sit under and look at the stars. She sat down not minding the damp grass as she stared up at the beautiful night sky and smiled slightly as she dazed out and focused in on another universe, staring into the deep, dark, stary night sky.

Soujiro, who was actually in the tree when Aki had come, looked down, sitting on a branch with his arms crossed. His sword hung down from his belt, past the branch. He watched Aki with a smile. "A beautiful night, isn't it?" he asked suddenly, expecting to scare the female.

Her heart raced again as Aki jumped this was too much for one night. She looked around. " Who is there?" she asked as her voice sounded frantic and panicked. " Please answer me."

Aki looked up and saw the guy. " Ohh Hello." she said as she gasped slightly for air she had over acted but still she sighed. " Im sorry for the frantic and panicked way I acted."

Soujiro kept his smile on his face. "Don't worry; it happens a lot," he said. He reached down to make sure his swords were still at his side, then asked, "So, what's a lady like you doing out so late?"

Aki looked at him. " Well I couldn't sleep...so I came out here to think. It's so pretty that it calms me down." she smiled slightly at him.

"Yes...it really is a beautiful night..." Soujiro said, looking at the sky again, then back down at Aki with a smile. "Still, it's dangerous for you to be out alone; you never know who's out at this hour." Soujiro took out a pocketwatch, glanced at it, then stuffed it back into his pocket.

" I know how dangerous it is for me to be out here." Aki said softly. " But I'm concerned about myself at the moment that is the last thing on my mind."

"Would you like to tell me what's on your mind?" Soujiro asked jumping down from the branch. He was two years younger than Aki, and about the same height.

Aki looked at him. " My parents where just recently taken to the hospital to be under full watch they dont have much longer than a year to live."

"Ah, I see...I guess I can't really relate; I'm an orphan. I grew up without knowing parental love," Soujiro said with a smile.

Aki looked at him. " Well then you missed out...I was adopted but still my parents loved me as if I was their own so no complaints there."
