Kurama stood still, not noticing the damage Zoro did. He slowly put his right foot behind, lowering his sword, remembering Hiei's moves. He had already formed a strategy; revealing your true powers to Kurama is a lethal mistake.

Zoro paused. The ground wouldn't be able to hold Kurama's weight for long. Soon it would crumble under his weight and leave him open, to a second Shishi Sonsen.

Unknown to the swordsman, Kurama already put some plants to support him. He hasn't learned enough from Zoro, but his strike will come soon.

Zoro glared. Still, he could tell enough that in skill, this one was weaker than him. He lunged forwards with a series of Itto Ryu slashes. He was confident that he wouldn't need to use his Santoryu to fight this opponent. He didn't want to, since then Kenshin would see his moves.

Kurama, due to Zoro's sudden attack, barely dodged his first 5 blows, but he easisly avoided the other attacks, blocking them with Kenshin's sword. After the number of blows ended, the fox returned to his previous stance.
"Underestimating the enemy is the first step towards defeat." Kurama stated in his usual calm tone, both green eyes on the stranger.

Zoro grinned. "I said that to a man once. I was wrong." He slashed accurately at Kurama, to push him back.

Hiko watched the duel. Both seemed to have skill with the blade, however, Hiko noted that the man with three swords had enormous sword Ki. He could almost feel the mans potential. "If it comes down to simple sword skills, Kurama will lose. He'll need something more than his ability with a sword to overcome someone like this."

Kurama had made a 45-degree turn in time to avoid Zoro's attack. He then strucked him from behind, accidentally holding it with one hand. However, he was shown with his hand bleeding, holding the katana by the blade. "I have no reason nor intention to kill you, if you have to ask me why I tried to attack you with the handle and not the blade."

Zoro smirked. "Well, if that's the case, then you won't beat me. Even with my Itto Ryu. 36 pound cannon! Because I will fight until I die! I cannot lose to a swordsman!" He spun, sending a powerful blade of wind at Kurama.

Kenshin watched on, his eyes half closed. He would have avoided to watch the fight, but the fact that he was still involved, one, because Kurama had taken his Sakabato, and, two, because Kurama took it so that he could fight on behalf of Kenshin, kept him from leaving.

Kurama easily avoided the attack by stepping to the side with his eyes closed. "There is a problem to your statement, however..." Kurama looked at Zoro's eyes, his own now open. "I am not a samurai, nor a swordsman. And since you refuse to stop the fight, I have no choice but to use part of my full power." With that statement, Kurama revealed a small pouch, full with dried fungus.

Zoro sensed something big coming. He drew his second sword. "Come at me all you like. I've vowed to become the strongest swordsman in the world. That means, I can never lose a battle, not even one! Swordsman or not!"

"Actually, it's not really something big. Only one of my old tricks." Kurama said as he untied the string and threw it to the middle, releasing a strange kind of powder. Using as a smoke screen, Kurama ran behind Zoro with 100% of his speed and knocked him down, still using the handle of the sword. "Everyone loses, because they will soon find someone who can defeat him. What I did is unfair to our match, but this is nessesary to avoid bloodshed."

Zoro got to his feet. "I.... cannot lose! Not to any man but one... Hawk Eyes... but if I'm going to face him I can't be this weak!" He faced Kurama. "Takanami!" At point blank range, he shot two powerful gusts of wind at him. Immediately after, he charged in with a rapid set of strikes.

Kurama was hit by the gust of winds, but was just in time to avoid half of Zoro's blows. As his smoke clears, the fox brushed his hand into his red locks and pulled out a beautiful, red rose. He sheathed the Sakkabatou and threw it to the rurouni. "I shall need it no more." he said, still facing Zoro. "If you insist, then...I have no choice but to force you."
