Zoro sighed. "This sword isn't supposed to be mine... it should still be in her hands..." He was half talking to himself more than the people around him. Through his own mind, the image of a young blue haired girl holding a shinai came up.

Kenshin breathed out. "Please excuse me." He rose from his seat and left the room. It was already pretty dark outside, and the moon was up. Closing the door behind him, Kenshin took in a deep breath of fresh air.

Zoro put the Wadou back in his belt, now lost in memories.
"Why can't I win!? You're lucky you were born a boy Zoro Kuina is dead... Humans are fragile beings Zoro You'll finally go on your journey.

Kenshin sat outside quietly, his sword loosely between his arms. One of his legs draped over the edge of the hall, the other drawn up. He looked out, a blank look dominating his face.

After awhile of going through his thoughts, Zoro finally got up. He walked out where Kenshin was. "What are you doing out here."

"Nothing much. What about you?" Kenshin said, still staring out at the dojo gates.

Zoro shrugged. "I needed some air. I was going through too many memories I didn't want to go through, and thought some air would clear my head."

Kenshin remained silent for a while, then said, "Memories sure are strange things, aren't they...?"

Zoro shook his head. "No. To me they're useful things. They remind me what the sword I use represents."

"Not everyone's memories are as inspirational as your own..." Kenshin mumbled as he thought of Tomoe again. This time, Enishi was also in the picture.

He looked at him. "Memories let you remember why you keep on living."

"For this one, that is not true," Kenshin replied.

He looked at Kenshin. "Is that so? Then why do you keep living?"

"This one lives in hope of redemption for all the lives he's cost," Kenshin said, looking up at the moon.
